Sweetl and a nd Sims got by wh en Benn ett slowed. But Benn ett 's woe s weren' t over. A non -ra cing ATV pulled into hi s path a nd th e pai r co llided. Neith er was hurt , but Bennett 's bike took th e brunt o f th e i m p ac t, - a n d a fter repairs h e had to pl ay ca tchu p th e rest o f th e wa y, finish in g sevent h overa ll, fifth O pen Expe rt, just over n ine m inutes back . At 15th overall , Mini Amateur winner K.C , Kirk finished h is fir st p ointto -point event.
