the radiator forward without actually removing the upper fairing. Once the radiator is pulled forward a couple inches, take a look at the back of the fan. Two small bolts secure the offending shroud to the fan's mounting bracket; remove those bolts, unplug the fan, and peel out the rubber grommet to free the fan wiring. Don't be tempted to remove the fan entirely: it's necessary to keep the Ninja from boiling over when sLTanded in traffic.
