the radiator forward without actually
removing the upper fairing.
Once the radiator is pulled forward
a couple inches, take a look at the
back of the fan. Two small bolts
secure the offending shroud to the
fan's mounting bracket; remove those
bolts, unplug the fan, and peel out
the rubber grommet to free the fan
wiring. Don't be tempted to remove
the fan entirely: it's necessary to keep
the Ninja from boiling over when
sLTanded in traffic.
The removal of the four LTim pieces
and the fan shroud will, with no
other changes, make the Ninja's
engine run considerably cooler, The
rider will be aware that more heat is
reaching his legs (particularly the
shins and ankles); most riders won"t
find the eXLTa heat objectionable
