competitions have been held in one form or another since 1967. During july, 1985, the World Police and Fire ~ames were held in San jose, draw109 over 4000 athletes, making that event second in panicipant numbers to the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Motorcycle roadracing has never before been a Police Olympic event. In May, 1985, I made a proposal to the.C.P.A_F.to make motorcycle TC1'ldraang a speCIal event for 1986 using motorcycles supplied by the California Superbike School. The proposal was accepted. The world championships will be held at Willow Springs, july 3-6 1986. Police riders from several coun: tries will participate. (The USSR is considering sending a team.) On February 21, 1986, officers-onty Superbike School will be held at Wil~ low Springs. The five fastest qualifiers plus two alternates will comprise the Untted States Team which will then compete in July.
