Allan Dyck was tops in the 125cc Pro show, while Yamaha-Honda of Roseburg's Monty Spalding brought out his 1986 Yamaha YZI25 to come away with commanding I-I wins in the I25cc B class after holding off hard-charging Tony Graves (Herbs Cycle Hon). Graves came back with vengeance to win the 250cc B class with I-I tallies. Heavy snowfall overnight sent the majority of the out-of-state Pros homeward bound. ..... Canadian Dyck ..... , - ,. . . ~.... ~. .. found conditions quite similar to home up in the great white north and easily breezed to I-I wins in the 125cc Pro class, which ran combined with the 250cc Pros. In the first moto, Tyler (Lynnwood Yam) led Dyck (R&M Motocross/Yamaha of Canada), locals john Woodley (Kaw), Gary Beyer (K.aw) and Canadian john Evoy (Hon) through the whoops on the first lap. Tyler and Dyck quickly severed themselves from the remaining contestants, leaving a WoodIey/ Evoy/Beyer/Kenny Olsen (Kaw) battle behind. Tyler crashed with a lap to go, handing the lead over to Dyck, with Ty ler holding on to second over Olsen. "The second time out was again a Dyck/Tyler show as the Canadian number-three-rated 125 rider and national speedster Tyler put on a heck of a show. Tyler went on to breeze tothe win after Dyck, who ran second, stalled it, remounting in time to hold back Beyer, Woodley and Evoy. Spalding shot 0[£ the line in the first 125cc B moto and rammed his way into the lead in turn one, catapulting over the doubles ahead of Graves and Californian Brad johnson (Kaw). Spalding has been a terror since mov~ng up [rom the Mini ranks and went on to beat Graves and johnson in the moto. Moto two was a repeat, with Spalding holding 0[£ advances [rom Graves to take a I-lover Graves' 2-2 and johnson's 3-3. In the 250cc B motos, Graves came right back to steal the show by holding 0[£ a £reight train of riders consisting of johnson, Tom Pilcher (Hon), Clay Light (Suz), Husky rider Robert Cecil and Bruce Kudna (Hon). Graves came back to win moto two convincingly over the 2-2 o[ johnson. . For the second night in a row, the 125cc class had to be trimmed to 15 riders for the main event. Local Yamaha pilot Billy Roller took the last ticket to the £inal by winning the consolation. Heat-one winner Steve Bye (Kaw) and second-heat victor Dan Gregory (Hon) had a brutal battle for the lead in the main event until Bte. br?ke free from a pesky Gregory,
