In th e first m ot o it was Marty Zir bel a boa rd th e Town Ce n ter Yamaha g ra bbing a big ho lesh o t o ver R ya n Fisher (Ga rner's Yamaha ), Bennett, Ri ck Msci ch owski (Hon)an d th e rest o f th e th under ing Pr os. On th e backstra ig ht Bennett m o ved into seco nd a n d j ohn P otter (Han) mo ved to fi fth ahead o f R o bert Frohs (Han) . Finall y, Fisher pa ssed Terry o n th e o u tside o f the backstraight, right where Christia n sen had passed earlier.
