ISDE rid er Kevin H ines, who was on hand to support th e KTM 80cc debut, and co m pete in th e 250/500cc class, said after riding th e co u rse, "It was rough, but very fast ; like one long motocross circu it and it was really h ard to come ba ck from a poor start." In the 65cc (7-11 ) ra ce, Ezra L usk a n d Colin Edwards were 'tied on points go ing into this third competition . Edwards , who led every lap in th e Modified division, ela bo ra ted on h is ride: " I lan ded wrong once on the gas tan k. I' m glad I had a good lead so I cou ld back off for a bit. " Wi nner Lusk had to hustle to catch Mack Vander Beek in the Stock class. Scott Sheak closed in the point tally on hi s T eam Green Ka wa saki teammate Sea n T hornton by wi nning the 85cc (7-II ) Stock class. Sheak sai d , " Brett Melton was ahead of me, but he went off in a turn and I go t by." Moree had problem s in the Modified heat and Michi gan rider Brian Swin k took over seco nd in point with a class win. R hode Island 's Timmy Lemire won the 85cc (\ 4-15) Sto ck class for the second yea r in a row. Bobby Jay Mann lost th e class lead with a DNF, explai ning. "Sand go t into th e air bo x.
