The first 500 InterceptorChampionship Series was everything we hoped for. The Southern California chapter ofthe AFM ran the races flawlessly at Willow Springs Raceway. Going into the final event, five racers had a chance to be champion, and Steve Reynosa and Richard Moore were dead even in pointsin first place. In the end Reynosa tookMoore, the Championship-and $4,450 in totalwinnings. His sponsor, Champion Honda ofCosta Mesa, California, was ecstatic. So were we. In fact, with helpfrom the AFM, OMRRA, MRA, WERA and AAMRR, we're running the series allacross the country next year. And that means no matter where youlive, you can get in on some great racing.
