The field in Baja's La Carrera
coast-to-coast road race had
nothing on Kawasaki's Steve
Ballmer, either. He won handily
with the bare essentials: a stock
dual-purpose KLR600, with
liquid-cooled raw power and UniTraJCD suspension. While the Competition took a siesta, Ballmer
had a fiesta running wild in the
Mexican streets. Incredibly, Steve
rode the same KLR from his
Orange County home to the Baja
race and back. Now that's
performance.
