O pen In termediat e a nd 30-40 class wins went to Bob Leac h (Leac h Cycle/Sales Yam ). Kell er had it a ll too easy in a co m bined Pro class, g lad ly ta king the m aj orit y o f th e Pro purse. Kell er had to co ntend wi th Pa u l Winn, wh o wa s ru n n ing the event under exh ibi tio n status. Winn (Oa kley/ Yam support ) chased Keller in bot h motos a nd gave all th e Pros q ui te a sca re en route to th e A class win, beating 250cc Pro Don Bisceg lia (Ya m) and I25cc Pro Ga ry Beyer to the chec ker s. In th e 80cc Expert/I ntermedia te class, it was Winn win n ing ou t in a ba ttle with Team Green's J eff Dail y.
