Dunfee a lso fin ished seco nd overall in th e 125cc Expert ranks behind Alley Sernar. The event was a two-day affair, and points for the overall wer e acc u m u. Jared over a four-mote form at . Dann y Storbeck swe p t Satu rday night' s 250cc Expert sho w as Du nfee kept clos e quarters to tak e seco nd, Storbeck didn 't show for Sunday's round, leavi ng Dunfee to battle with J aime Killion forIirst . Killion took some exc urs ions o ff th e trac k, a llo wing Dunfee to tak e the win with some breathing room . Killion ended up second overall for th e weekend, and Jack Horner claimed third overall. Saturda y n ig h t 's 125cc Expert ac tio n provided a showcase for Da le Storbeck , Dann y's younger co usin. H e, a long with Dun fee and Alley Semar, kep t th e specta tors' interes t at a pea k level a ll night. Occasionally, Killion and Todd Hargroder put in appearances a t the head of the pa ck. On Sunday over th e co u rse of the fin a l two l25cc Ex pert heats, Mark Gerloff and Scott Chessar took wins, forci ng D u nfee into a come-frombehi nd mode following Semar and Dale Storbeck. Going into the fourth and final mota, the money was up for grabs among Dunfee, Sernar and Da le Storbeck. Off th e line, Du n fee too k th e lead , bu t a daring mid-air pass p ut Semar and his Ka wasak i into the front position to stay on lap four. Dunfee was hard-pressed to hol d off Storbeck for the runner-up spot as Semar pu lled away from both. At the flag, it was Sernar, Du nfee and Storbeck, a nd that 's the wa y they lined up at th e pay window. A clutch of racers lin ed up for th e fin al heat o f th e 250cc In term ed ia te class, all with in o ne point of first pl ace overall.
