Officially, it was Hank Scott, Bubba Shobert and Ted Boody in second , through fourth . Parker's win was no less spectacular. although his margin of victory over Shobert was about one bikelength. It was the unfolding drama that Parker might, just might, break Honda 's and Shobert's domination on the mile. Parker not only did it , but did it in re cord breaking .style with an average speed of 102.047 mph. The battle for third went right to the finish with Graham edging Boody by less than two bikelengths, Shobert strengthened his position in the chase for the AMA Grand National Championship title. He now ·ho lds a 36-point margin -over Ted Boody, 2 10-points to 174, after Boody moved past Do ug Chandler into second in the points tall y. Bad luck co nt in ues to follow Chandler as he broke in his heat race o n Saturday night and finished 11th in Sunday's National. Chandler is third in points at 164. Parker holds down fourth at 146 points while Scott Pearson is in fifth at 129. .. Of note was the strong ride by Tammy Kirk on her Smitty's H- D XR from 10th to fourth.
