Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California has planned a full range of side events and entertainment for the September 7-8 WERA National Endurance Series 24-Hours West road race. Included will be an ATV rodeo, a carnival with kiddy and adult rides, and a meet-the-riders party with live music from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight Friday, September 6 . Wheelie King Doug Domokos will perform and sign autographs all weekend and there will be a guessthe-winning-mileage contest with prizes given to spectators who come the closest to estimating the m ileage covered by the winning team . Three-time World Champion Kenny Roberts broke the outright motorcycle lap record in Misano, Italy durin~ .'!. !':~t session on the !'ew V-fourCagiva August 19. "It was a hell of a lot better than everyone thought it was, " Roberts said of the Cagiva . "They had everything it needed in the back of their truck; they just needed someone to tell them where to improve it. It 's a good bike and they are good peop le to work w ith." The Cagiva tested was released earlier this season, but has not produced any solid results in the Grands Prix. Roberts was reportedly paid over $25,000 for his input in the oneday test.
