Distri ct 37 uses th e Am at eur class for a reason. I don ' t believe any d u b shou ld be a ble to nega te a n ent ire c1a~s fo r a ny reason. incl ud ing a tYPlcally-sma ll turnoul. Ama teu r dass Th econfusi on arose because Michelin . has sold "intermediates" in th is country with th e same large-block tread pattern as Hi-Sport DO T tires, at the sam e tim e selling th e small-block tread pattern seen at right in th e photo above as a " rain tire." Mi chelin then introduced a new " rain tire" (seen at left in the photo abo ve) with a softer compound, more flex ible carcass, and w ider g rooves, and then design ated th e o lder " rain" design an " interm ediate."
