Pro Comp win at lACR By David Lindstrom PAL MDAL E, CA, MAY 18-19 H arley fans got the thrill of their lives as Clyde Ra wlin s went out to win the Pro Comp class as well as set top speed for a Harley at th e AMA/Dragbike Desertna tionals, here at Los Angeles County Raceway. Rawlins ' new track record clocked in at a bl istering 151 .26 mph, which was eno ugh to make him one very happy man . A standing ovation greeted Ra wlins on the return road, " H o w does it feel to be th e fast est Harley on this track?, " a fan yelled. Beaming from ear to ea r, " grea t, reall y grea t," Rawlins sa id . Even LACR 's Bernie Longjohn was im p ressed . " T wo hundred feet on th e wh eeli e bar, " h e sai d ent h usiastically. With o n ly th e fin al ro u n d to run , Clyde looked lik e a shoe in - he had th e best ladder run .
