The fas test heat of the ex hi bition

On th e starting line of the main
were Farrell. Lawson, Faria a nd King.
Wh en everybody got off the lin e.
Kin g was last. bu t by th e end of the
first la p King was lead ing , with Lawson second and Ferrell third. Fa ria
was in fo urth.
La p three saw Ferrell pa ss Lawson
and Kin g 10 take the lead , a nd everybod y's positions held for th e next two
laps. On lap five, Ferrell was still
leadin g and j us t to the ins ide o f Lawson. But th e rosi n-coated concrete
trac k was so tacky th at it was d ifficult '
for Ferrell to h old a lin e in th e
