The sites m eet a regional cr iteria se t Iorth by the California OffHighwa y Motor Vehicle Recreation Commission in th at within a 150 mile. or three-hour driving time radius. of the City o f Lancaster there resides a potential us er population of over 10 million people. , . City officials sa id they believe Lancaster ha s a very good cha n ce of qua lifying for the sta te grant because o f the grea t regi onal d em and for offro ad vehicle facilities following th e closure o f tw o m aj or m otorcycl e p arks.
