Steffey led th e seco nd round while Stewart and Kawa saki rider Mark Winn followed for th e first la p . On lap two. Stewart again assu med th e lead pos ition a nd Winn put hi s green ma chine right behind. jorgenson was on the move in third . but a cras h ende d his hopes for a repeat victory.
