During th e first lap, Keylo n went o ff the track and d ro p ped to eig h th, moving Eat o n , Bailey and Canada's Ross Pederson up o ne notch eac h . Shortly aft er, Ped erso n endoed hard over so me jumps - he got back on hi s feet slow ly and ma naged to finish the race. A few la ps later, Ba iley foun d a wa y arou nd Eaton and then set after Kehoe. Then it was Kehoe' s turn to en do over a double jump, givi ng th ir d 10 Ba iley. With two laps 10 go, Bail ey passed H ardick as did Keylon. At th e finish it was Lech ien wa v o u t front a hea d o f Ba iley and Keylon. T he seco nd qual ifier feat ur ed a h ea ted dogfight for the lead between Kawasa ki teammates Barnell and Goa t Breker. Breker had th e h ol esh o t but was passed a few turns lat er by Barn eu, J o J o Keller foll owed in th ird.
