Pasca rell a, Blancha rd, Tritt ler an d Steve Kot ajarvi. By th e third la p Pascarella had agai n motored into the lead. Vlach dropped bac k 10 fourth, a llow ing Sim me r a nd Tritt ler 10 go by. O n th e la st la p, Tr iu ler ba iled and remounted in sixth. Pa sca rella took the easy overall wi n with Simm er and Vlach fini shing second a nd third. The 125cc Pro class, co nsis ting o f only two riders, was th e most exciting race o f th e da y. The first moto was led by Bill y Frank (Kaw ), with Will ie Su rr att (H o n) in to w. Su rratt chased Frank th e wh ol e moto, but it was as if the two riders were tied tog ether with an invisi ble string. r:he distance between th em never van ed an in ch for th e entire 30 minutes. Frank crossed th e finish lin e first, fol lowed closely by Su rratt. T he seco nd mot o wa s agai n led by Frank. Surra tt and Fra n k diced side by side through every corner. On lap seven, Su rra tt fina lly found a wa y aro und Frank. On the fina l lap, Fra n k mo unted a fu rio us charge bu t wa s unabl e to tak e th e win from Su rra tt. H arriger got by Coupe' by diving into a comer a lillie h ar der for seco nd. Tyson Vohland started pressuring Coupe', bu t Coupe ' held h is ground. By la p th ree, Harriger was a ble 10 pass Aston thou gh a tough left hander , and th e four riders progr essed 10 seco nd s a hea d o f the rest o f th e pack. As Harriger in creased hi s lead , Co upe' went to work o n Asto n: th e pass was mad e by Coupe ' wh en Asto n went wid e a llowing Coupe' to get under h im for second. By th e midway mark, Ha rr iger had a 13 second lead o n seco nd and thi rd place riders Co upe' a nd Aston three la ps to the end. And the positions didn 't cha nge.
