MoLO one came easy as Sun held off Butch Waymire (Yam) and Chuck Strayer (Mon). In the second round, Waymire led then went down; Strayer then led, went down, and let Sun by for the win and overall. Steve Bast swept all his heats to score a perfect 15-point ride at the San Francisco Cow Palace's indoor speedway races. Steve and brother Mike Bast went into the final heat tied at 12 points each; but Steve got the holeshot, the lead and the win \"hile Mike had to sellie for second. Tenth for the night was Bruce Penhall. Anbe regularly scheduled AFM road race at River ide Raceway, Art friedman once again took I25cc Production class honors on a DKW. In the 250cc G Ps, George Roche a nd Bob Endicott crossed the finish line ahead of Team Hammer founder Bruce Hamme~. At the new Track masters race track near the bustling metropolis of Ramona, CA, Jim West, John DeSoto, Kenny Zahrt, Rich Thorwaldson and Marty Tripes all showed up LO race for a $2000 Pro purse. Mark Tyer (Hon) won the 125cc Pros, with Broc Glover (Hon) second and Ron Turner (Hon) third. Mike Stearns (CZ) beat out DeSoto (0 s) and Mike McGowen (Kaw) in the 250cc Pros. Winning the 500ccProswa JimWest(Mai)ahead of Zahn (Bul) and Thorwaldson (Suz).
