Montgomery and Mattox gave Hanna a handful. Roberts ped past huler in an aLtempt LO catch Gerkey. Gerkey caught wind of this and picked up his pace. Meanwhile, Groce cruised pa t his first lapped victim seLting some distance away from Davis, Gerkey, Roberts and Sieman. The top runners were hungry a Groce stole their dinner. It was a dog-eat-dog world for Groce's comrades as Davis, Gerkey, Roberts and Sieman topped the first-moLO finish. Moto two found Groce back into the lead as Davis, Roberts, Sieman and Shuler were in pursuit. Gorden, Gerkey, Montgomery and Burris set a mean pace for Gilmore, Leamihan and HaLtabaugh. Howell, Medina and Hanna tucked in close behind. The stage was set for Groce,' Davis, Roberts and Sieman. Gerky made his move on Gorden and Shuler once again, while Montgomery and Burris tried to main tai n some consistency. I l was not hard to tell Groce was on the throLtle a he started lapping riders. This teed 0(£ Davis, while Roberts was scoped in on by Gerkey. Sieman maintained hi cool with Shuler, Gorden and Montgomery hot on his heels. Shuler was out of his desert element but still managed to exhibit some fine motocro techniques. As Groce set himself further apart from Davis; Gerkey and Sieman moved into scope. Roberts and Shuler tangled for fifth. The Veteran and Senior huffle set Groce, Davis and Gerkey at equidistance. Sieman planted his new Suzuki with a stronghold on fourth while Roberts glistened in fifth. At the checkers it was Groce, Davis, Gerkey, Sieman and Roberts. huler, Montgomery and Gorden LOpped the front runners.
