I will miss your fine coverage of national events, and occasional product tests, etc. 1 will not miss my resentment of the editorial comments and altitude of the new editor. GREG BELOIT Long Beach, CA Complacency is always more comfortable than activism... Editor. Larry Jensen cancels Please cancel my subscription and refund the balance. This is a protest against an unintelligent and unethnical editorial staff, and a protest of lack o[ coverage of AFM events. LARRY JENSEN AFM #803 Los Gatos, CA Don't let us catch you hanging around the newsstand, Jensen ... Editor. B-to-V. Ala Baja This year a new dual-purpose Poker Ride has been established for those who wish a non:race onl off-road ride between Barstow and Vegas. (A streetlegal, dual-purpose motorcycle is required). This dual-purpose course has been set up into three sections of easy terrain. . Section #1 is about 100 miles of old Highway 66, riding by scenic lava flows, all-but-forgotten roadside gas stops and through multi-colored mountain ranges. Section #2 is about 100 miles of fun riding through Baja-type jeep roads, on graded county roads, through Joshua tree forests, high chapperal, by abandoned corrals, minesites and farms. It's a lot like Baja without leaving th-e U.S.! Section #3 offers you a choice of about 60 miles ending up in Henderson, Nevada, or heading into Vegas on the highway, or meeting your friends andlor pit crews at Stateline on the highway and then into Vegas. Finish spin at Frontier Hotel. Anyway you choose, you win! There will be lots of prize drawings, contingency prizes, poker hand winners and a whole lot of partying in Las Vegas. Break away from that "nothing to do" rut and join in on the dualpurpose ride. It will be one'not to be forgotten! It was a learning experience and a hell o[ a lot of [un for us. Not only did we get to meet and know other riders, tuners, team managers, AMA people, etc., but we got to be a small part of the great Camel Pro Series. OUl: experiences with all these people were really super. It only goes to prove that motorcycle people are the greatest there are on earth.
