Kyle goes 4 for 4 atSRACMX By Larry Johnson LAKEWOOD, CO, SEPT. 2-3 Vickery Yamaha's Terry Kyle ran four motos in the final twoday, double-points event before the State Championship finale in October, and won them all. In the 250cc Pros he pulled away to a large lead in round one. which he held almost lO the enp until Randy Warren and Alben Firestine closed late in their race for second. In molO two, he kept a smail-but-safe lead over Wanen the entire race, while class points leader Firestine followed well off the pace. In the Open Pros, Kylestaned both rounds in fifth'place, but each time he captured the lead by mid-moto and pulled away by a comfortable margin. Fay Myers' Honda's Chris Sundstrom was his main challenger each round, finishing second in malO two but dropping out of mota one while leading when his chain broke. Kyle's victory increased his substantial points lead over Sundstrom and Dave Newell. Brant McCoy went into the weekend's action leading Darren DeLoach by one point in the 80cc Expert class. Trailing in third. 50 points back, was Barry Carson, but the day was all his. He not only beat the two leaders in each moto. he killed them. Way behind Carson's settled dust they diced for second with Robert Rose. DeLoach eventually earned the o~erall runnerup position ahead of McCoy and Rose. Stacey Cook has an almost insur- . mountable points lead over Tim Buchli in the 125cc Pro class, and he padded it with a I-I day. Buchli stayed in second place by finishing in the runner-up spot ahead of Matt Lindsey.
