Second went to Raymond Roche (Hon), who was followed home by Ron Haslam (Hon) and new World Champion Eddie Lawson (Yam). The final point standings show Lawson the champ with 142 points, Mamola second with III, Roche third at 99, injured Freddie Spencer fourth with 87, and Haslam fifth with 77.
