Chris Taylor (Yam). m'" Molder in shape for BRA/Spearfish bucks By Brian George SPEARFISH, SD, JULY 29 One hundred and thirty-five riders braved immense heat to compete in round eight of the Borderline Racing Association's 1984 Championship Motocross Series at Spearfish Raceway. Three different names emerged with overall victories in the Professional ranks, where LeeVern Berry grabbed the top honors in the 125cc category, Dave Molder picked up ground in the points with the win in the 250cc action, and Perry Bicek closed ground on series points leader Lynn Hyde with the overall win in the Open racing. Molder and the series points leader in the 250cc Pro class, Billy Stork, took off in front of the first 250cc Pro molO, while behind Lynn Hyde, Kevin Forrester and Mike Friend piled up, allowing Curt Hyde, Stace Waugh and Brian George to slip through. The duo out front began to pull away immediately, with Molder assuming the front spot early on. Despite Stork hanging tough for the majority of the moto, Molder held on strong with the lead. Stork trailed in second, while Waugh and Curt Hyde picked up the 11-4 slots ahead of Forrester. Moto two again saw Stork take the holeshot with George, Molder, Hyde and Hyde behind.
