Shaun Kalos led much of the 83cc Stock Expert race before being passed by "Boy Wonder" Hicks. Kalos finished fifth overan. 22 ~ necessary risk to keep up with Swink. Swink won the mota while Bullon finished with second and took the overall. The 83cc Modified Novice class got of[ to a rocky stan with a huge pile- Suzuki rider Brian Shrout managed to avoid the first turn mess and led the field. However, Shrout was passed by Kawasaki rider JeH Long before the end of the first lap. Gaddis was in command of the moto as he held on to a two-second advantage over Long, who also staned to pull away from Shrout. A tough ballie developed for third between Shrout, J.D. Bous, Paul Rowland and David Noel. The fight was fierce but Noel made the best of it. He managed to labor through the dogfight for third two laps from the finish. Upfront, Gaddis crossed the finish line over six seconds ahead of Long. Noel captured third in front of Jay Wagner and Justin Ouo. Long's second-place finish was enough to claim the class championship. Kawasaki rider Mouse McCoy, who made his name famous riding minicycles, is now continuing his success on a 125. He managed to edge Yamaha pilot Todd Poling for the I 25cc Modified Intermediate class victory with two points to spare, but the haule was close. Poling took the early lead, while McCoy had a fair stan. "I was really nervous," said McCoy. "I waited too long for the gate to fall, because yesterday I got caught." By the third lap, McCoy had control of second but a few seconds behind Poling. McCoy had to pass Poling to take the overall win, so McCoy slowly reeled in Poling. On the final lap, McCoy made his move and out-powered Poling's Yamaha in the long, back-straightaway. Poling almost retaliated in the next turn, but McCoy held him off and took the win and overall. up in the first turn. Most of the riders McCoy also claimed top honors in quickly remounted butfourlaid scatthe 125cc Stock Intermediate class tered on the ground for over half the beating Mike Morris, Kawasakirace.
