played a game of intimidation (or the number-two position, frequently bumping and slamming the door on each other. Gale, riding more aggresively, came out on top at the line followed by Fryer. New Zealander Richard Seoular returned to wreck havoc on his FJ600 Yamaha. He fought Gale and Scott Johnson in the 600cc Stock class in a tight battle that was race long. It was a tOSS-up until the last lap; Gale was out-braked by Scoular in tight turn three and ran off the track, giving Seoular the edge he needed to take the win. Johnson held on to finish secon!!. Scoular entered his LaHabra Yamaha/Dunlop/NDlTorco/Ohlins/ LedalWheelsmith-sponsored 600cc machine in the Open Stock class with confidence. He led flag to flag, taking the win over Craig Huber and Danny "Pismo Pudgy" Farnsworth.. Jim Vreeke won the Superbike Series race for the sixth consecutive tiine. The Omario Mota Tech/Spectra/ ND/Arai/Dunlop-sponsored Kawasaki pilot ran unchallenged, again! Moriwaki-mounted (600cc) Todd Brubaker took second ahead of Jay Tanner, Bob Reinen and Ducati rider Kevin Bracken, who diced for third. Bracken crashed in the turn-two sweeper on the fourth lap, so Tanner was able to squeak out a small lead over Reinen and finished in the third position. The last race of the day - the Formula One - had the closest finish. Vreeke led the entire six laps, but with each successive lap, 25Oi::c-mounted John Glover snuck closer and' closer. By the last lap they were side by side heading toward the finish line. Glover reached out playfully to pull Vreeke back, but lost his grip and managed only to pinch a surprised Vreeke on the butt as they crossed the line less than a bikelength apart. Vreeke took the win. HI-Point Red Dot Tires Are The OffIdal Tire Of The 1984 AMA Amateur National Motocross Champlonshlpsl NEW RED DOT 4:50x18 R NOW AVAILABLE ·.ui_ ne New ...
