Cycle Guide magazine will publish 10 regular issues and a special edition each year instead of 12 monthly issues. The new freqoency will begin with a combined November-December 1984 Special issue on sale in mid-October. According to Editor Larry Works, the decision to change frequency came after extensive research into reader preferences and newsstand sales curves_ "This magazine is the most reactive to its readers," Works said_ "We know we're going to take a lot of potshots from other publications, but we know what we're doing. "We are magazine professionals and the (magazine) marketplace is changing, Cycle has changed, Motorcyclist has changed, Cycle World has a whole new staff and we believe it will change. We're seeing lots of stuff we began doing now showing up in other peole's magazines. We anticipate we won't be the only magazine with this frequency in the near future.
