Dymond fini.hed fifth in moto one for eighth overall. cttmg duel between Suzuki's Scott Burnworth, Yamaha's Keith Bowen and Kawasaki's Billy Liles took place, With Lechien taking an early lead in the first moto, Bowen held on to second inches ahead of Liles and Burnworth. But during the third lap, Liles endoed and dropped out of the action. Then Burnworth set after Bowen and stole second by the third lap. Burnworth's teammate, George Holland, also got in on the action behind Bowen_ During the last lap, Bowen put heavy pressure on Burnworth, but the Suzuki pilot held on for second. Suzu'ki pilot Gary Bowman snuck up and zapped Holland during the final lap for fourth. The second moto was again all Lechien's, He stole the holeshot and left the rest to battle for second. The duel this time took place between Bowen and' Liles, after B4tnworth J ' J J dropped out. Positions between the two swapped back and forth several times in a very exciting duel, but when the checkers flew, it was Lechien, Bowen, Holland and Hondamounted Erik Kehoe.
