Eric Green got out in front of the 250cc junior for a good win while brothers Bryan and Bobby McDowell worked through the pack for second and third. Ken Nello topped the 250cc Expert class in relative ease over Hal Hook with Vance "Elvira" Felicio catching up for third on the Jim Chisum Kawasaki. After a lunch break the Pro action got underway. Carr and his jorgy's Can-Am were boss here in the 250cc class, with a very good effort from Aaron Hill, aboad the ND-sparked Honda, who trailed by inches at the end of 15 laps. Mike Macedo took third on the Macedo Construction· sponsored Yamaha for a ovice 2-3. It took a number of starts for the 500cc show to go, but it was once again Carr doing an excellent job on his ND/Shoei/Hi-Point/Kal-Gardsponsored Wood-Rotax. Mark Key led Carr in an earlier heal until he was moved over. and he did just the same in the final while exiting the first turn. the move let joe Knighl lake second to hold close for the firsl half of the race, but drop 0[£ the pace toward the end.
