Ithern Nevada- Southern California-Arizona-Southern Nevada- Southern California-Arizona-Southern Nevada-So~thernCall in third and Ross Maeda in fourth. Fleming, the newcomer LO the. class, soon faded back and allowed Maeda to control third. While hauling over the triple jumps, Turner clinched the lead and placed Atkins back in second, then "Radical Ron" increased his lead for the win. Atkins took second aboard his stock 1982 Suzuki, while Maeda landed third ahead of Kenny Clifton and Chris Heinrich. Turner eliminated the trouble of passing others as he took the holeshot in the final round. As Atkins was the runner-up in this case, while Heinrich trailed in tbird. Craig Cable took his Pacific Coast Honda to an improved fourth-place finish while Fleming was fifth. Two 'first-place wins earned Turner the top money. Turner destroyed the hopes of the competition in the 250 Pro class. Chris Swank took an excellent stan and held the lead in the first moLO over Russ Wageman and then Turner. As these three reached the corner following the crash wall, their positions altered greatly. Turner swooped around both Wageman and Swank LO swipe the lead, while Wageman worked past Swank to take second place. Mid-Cities Honda ace Rob Trone was fourth with Cycle Service's Pete Murray taking fifth. Turner had LO play "catch-up" in the final moLO and just barely managed the win, as Wageman proved to be the fastest at the start: Swank was in second, Mike Shoemaker in third while Turner followed. Amazingly, Turner succeeded to pass all but the leader Wageman. However, as the checkered flag came out, Turner swooped past Wageman stealing the win. It was Wageman, Shoemaker, Swank and Trone after Turner. • Results , 80 NOV: 1. Jeff Fleming (Vam); 2. Russall Somers (Kaw); 3. Charlie Brown IKaw); 4. Curtis Gaun (Han); 5.
