Results Denny Chendler took fourth in the firstmotoende DNF in the second. 10 pack. This gave Bailey a huge lead, while Glover had sole control of second. Bailey went on and took the win ahead of Glover and Huskymounted Micky Dymond, who used a slightly modified WR400 motor inside a CR250 frame. The combination seemed to work quite well for the privateer rider, who put in a fine comefrom-behind ride. Chandler LOok fourth while 5norteland settled for fifth. The second moLO holeshot went LO the "Lillie Professor" Bailey while Breker, Chandler and 5norteland followed. During the second turn, on Webco Hill, Chandler washed out and restarted in dead last. By the third lap Glover started LO pressure Bailey until Glover shot by the Honda pilot over the uphill jump. Then Glover stretched his lead to a few seconds over Bailey. Glover held on LO that margin throughout much of the race, then near the end, Bailey started to make his move by reeling in Glover. With only a few laps remaining, Bailey stuffed his facLOry water-cooled Honda past Glover and went on to take the win. Glover settled for second ahead of Breker, 5norteland, Manningand Yamaha-mounted Jim Ellis. "I felt realJy good out there," said Bai ley. "Everythi ng went great except when Broc passed me. 1 had so much confidence built up from winning past races, I figured I could get him back, but 1 just didn't know how much time 1 had. So, I waited awhile and made sure 1had everything under control, and 1 just went for it. Broc was riding a lot faster than me at first. He pulled out a lead, and I didn't want him to do that.
