Installing a second head gasket reduces power and still doesn't eliminate the cause of the detonation. The dome in the head is the true culprit. Khtmm Research changes the squish angle and squish clearance as well as the overall head volume. The end result is easier starting. improved tractable power in all ranges, and best of all no pinging.
