Team Honda wins both Superbike and SujJercross eventsfor the third stmightyear. When World Champion Freddie Spencer and Grand National Champion David Bailey hit the beach together, there's just one thing to call it. A title wave. In the Bell Superbike 100 at Daytona, "Fast Freddie" led a one, two, three, four Honda sweep. Setting a new track record in qualifying on his Team Honda V45 Interceptor~ Superbike. Then lapping the field through fifth place on his way to victory. Freddie was followed to the flag by Sam McDonald, John Bettencourt and Roberto Pietri.
