second moto with Barr and Rice in
tandem, and Randa, Mike Crane and
Brian McElroy in the hunt. jordan
was nearlast after a bad crash. Warren
led until Barr blew by on lap seven
for the win. Burdette stormed back to
catch Warren with a lap to spare and
finished second. "Some guy crashed
in front of me," said Burdette. "It's
hard to catch up when you're not
used to this sand."
Reinholt, on a Honda of Orlando
CR250, simply rode off and left the
[ield in the opening 250cc moto.
Dave Hollis, Wendell Simmons, Kevin
Foley, Denny Bentley and jo jo Keller
scratched for second. Keller had a
shot at Hollis, but his Honda sputtered and he was forced out. "It
sounds like theelectrics," said Keller.
Reinholt won over Hollis.
In the final moto, National Amateur Champion Kevin Foley led the
first lap before Reinholt passed and
held for the win over Holl is and
Foley. "Gelling third overall makes
me really happy," said Foley.
Hollis had to deal with a last place

got to hand it (0 my mechanic, Wayne
Meaks. The Honda held together
well today."
West Virginia's Timmy Coombs,

his best series ride to hold off Reinholt and then Murphy for 10 laps.
Murphy closed on Collins, then pulled
by for the win. "I've got the bike
dialed in" said Murphy, "I can deal
with 'em anywhere except in that
tough pond loop."
Collins finished second, after he
had sustained a back injury in moto
one. "Collins really rode well today,"
said Reinholt. "He looked strong."

NOW, YA GOTTA S~LE FOR THE BEST.
You weren't sure just which system to
buy, so you put jt off, because you
noticed some manufacturers hurry to
be the first on the market with their
new exhaust system. Made you wonder
just how much development went into
the project. At Vance·& Hines we test,
evaluate and test again. When our
research department tells us a project
is ready, that's when we sell it.
Our new V-45 system is ready. It's
unique design fires a front and rear
cylinder into each side, unlike other unbalanced systems that fire both front
cylinders into one collector and both
rear into thB other. Our end result is
more power from a great looking
system. other advanlages include a
smoother idle, increased ground
clearance with center and sidestand
retention. SO, as you can see there is
no reason to put it oil any longer.
sellle for the best.
