led the parade. "The track was wide, and what I thought was a new line was a hole," explained Jordan. "When I picked up my bike, it was all messed up." McElroy held off eventual winner Rice until mid-molO. Orlando's Jeff Frisz picked his way to second at the finish. Frisz took his WKR-tuned, SureFi relS i n isa I 01 H on da -s ponsored CRI25R to an early second molO lead, with Rice, McElroy, Stanley, Surwall and Allen Semar in the hunt. Rice closed on the final lap and banged handlebars with Frisz. Rice made the pass stick at the flag for the win. "I really had 10 work hard 10 tire Frisz out," said Rice. Frisz relaxed with Cindy Ryan in the pits and said, "After we got some jetting problems straightened out, I. gave him a good race." Keylon wicked up the throttle on his Danny Adams-tuned, S'Olsalol Scott-sponsored \'amaha and looked unslOppable in the opening 250cc molO, with Reinholt and Rice dueling for second. Keylon later had problems and Rice took Reinholt on the white flag lap and held for the win. Keylon said, "The brake pedal was jammed the entire molO. I knew It would catch up with me and I was reaching down 10 clear it when I hit a rut." Keylon salvaged third, with John Collins and Dave Hollis filling out the tOP five. Pennsylvania's Emery Anden had a partial lap of glory in molO two until Rice, Reinholt, CollIns, Keylon and Hollis romped 10 the front. Reinholt took the lead from Rice on lap two and controlled the tempo for five laps. Rice hooked up with three laps 10 go, and passed Reinholt for what he thought was the overall win. Hollis literally came out of nowhere and sliced under Reinholt, then picked off Rice for the molO win. "I just waited my turn," said Hollis. Reinholt's 1-2 molO scores gave him the class win. Keylon took another decisive win in the first 500cc moto. Ron Dunfee, Reinholt, Collins, Pat Post and Mark Murphy were waiting in the wings for Keylon to falter. Reinholt and Murphy took the runner-up spots. "I had so much fun practicing on my Open bike I decided to race it this week," said Keylon. In molO two, Keylon led two laps, but he bailed off hard, leaving Reinholt, Collins, Dave Salley and Murphy out front. Reinholt raised both hands in victory after wrapping up his fourth overall win in two weeks. ''I'm real happy," said Reinholt. "This year, I have been able to get time off from work LO practice more. It really helps." Collins, who has had a series of setbacks since an injury in the '83 Winter AMA Series, is back in top form. • Results AMATEUR MINI A: 1. Vince Devane (Yam); 2. Bobby Mann (Yam); 3.
