outhern Calilornia·Arizona.S Division one from flag to flag in both moLOs. All the elbow banging went on for second. In mow one, David Amillan seemed LO have second in his pocket when he fell victim to one of those sandy turns and Jeff Segale took the second spot. In moto two, Segale was holding down second when he did a'lmost the same thing and let Craig White take second in that moLO. With all of that flopping about, consistency proved he winner. Mark Steun, who had been riding.at third in both motos, had a good enough total for second overall. Division two was considerably simpler as Gary Sailor and William Surratt finished first and second in both motos. Results 60 NOV: 1. Lenny Jones (Han); 2. Eric Cordell (Vern); 3. By Lori Tyson RIVERSIDE, CA, NOV. 13 Jim PCJet claimed the victory and a rare $3000 bottle of brandy at the American Road Racing Association's Gold Cup race at Riverside International Raceway, leading virtually flag-to-flag in the 600cc Super Street event. Hesh Bohrer took the holeshot and led the first part of lap one, but Mackies Welding/Stevenson Machine/ SCRD's Poet soon grabbed the lead and was gone, unchallenged the remainder of the 12-lap event. Champion Moriwaki-mounted Walt Nitto and Seaweed Kawasaki's Earl Roloff had a race-long duel for second place and what a fight it was! RoioH had been bauling carburetion problems all morning in practice, and had no mid-range power at all, so he was forced to get on the gas a liule sooner coming out of the corners. Roloff came on a biltoO hard in turn six and got sideways with all that armco staring him intheIace, allowing N.itLO.tQ. LEMONADE KAWASAKI Street. Touring.
