Too often, efforts to look the best on the track can result in a trick-looking pair of gloves that faU "part after a single ride, or don't fit properly and cause those painful blisters to appear. Immediately upon donning a pair of the MXL BermBuster gloves, you will notice that they conform to the exact shape of your hand, plus are quite attractive. The secret to the fine fit is an expandable mesh fabric on the sides of the fingers, which allows the glove to stretch enough to accommodate several different sizes. MXL took advantage of the feature and only offers two izes-small and large. The small will [it both small and medium-sized hands, while the large model will take care of almost anything of the larger variety. The palm and finger contact areas are made of leather, and the palm area is fully padded. A 3/4-inch wide leather strip is double-stitched onto the thumb area, just where we find gloves tend to rip apart first. The approach works well enough, and we found no sign of any tendency toward split seams in the area. A breathable material forms the back of the glove, and also has the stretch feature. A I 18-inch thick foam padding is stitched to the backs, and continues onto the fingers for a bit of extra protection. The BermBuster is one of the few gloves we have found that has adequate room in ide around the thumb area. That feature alone was enough to sell us, but we also appreciated the way they held up. We used them in the woods and managed to paint them with variou shade of tree sap, but no rips, splits or tears urfaced. The stretch feature will u uallyaUow the gloves to give just enough to prevent any detrimental damage. Overall, you can't go wrong with the BermBu ter gloves. They offer the perfect combination of fit, performance, and style. You have your choice of two color schemes - red, white and blue or black, white and yellow. The adult model retails for $28.99.
