This years YZ125 and YZ250
are stronger than ever
The reason is those two
little lrles you see in the
diagram on the left.
They're sub-exhaust
ports and, by drilling two
of them off the main exhaust,
our engineers discovered
they could supply the YZS
with more power where you
need it most
In the low and middle
range. Combined with the
Yamaha Power Valve System
(YPVS~ a sliding valve that
au1Dmatically adjusts tor low-end
torque or high-end poweJ; this
design gives you more efficient
power production.
As well as a smoother transition of that power from the bottom
all the way through the top end.
Last year, we ttdc the YZs
down to the minimum weight
limit
This year, we took that low
weight and redistributed it. We
started by Ioweting and centering
the engi. Ie, frame and maD:
