S TANDOUT FEATURE
Monitors and warns you when your battery is
getting low and needs a charge.
RIDER AN ALYSIS
Allowing your battery to discharge can do
irreparable damage, which can leave you
stranded and cost you time and money to re-
place. And if you are talking about a lithium
battery in most high-end off-road bikes, the
cost is at least $100. I have ruined a few
motorcycle batteries over the years and even
more batteries in our RV (at a cost of $200
for two batteries each time). So, I was pretty
happy to see this $36 option to remind me to
charge my batteries.
I installed one on my KTM 450 EXC in
about 30 minutes with most of that time
finding a place to squeeze it in the extremely
limited space under the seat on those bikes.
The app and Bluetooth setup was also easy.
Anytime you are within 30 feet of the unit, it
transfers data to the app and gives you an
update. I have had this on the bike for about
a year now and it is great to get the regular
updates to remind me to charge the battery
or at least take it for a short ride. This is a re-
ally simple but useful tool that can save a lot
of aggravation with your motorcycles, cars,
boats or RVs.
