the last time we did this,"
said Gutish. "We didn't run
the full track like the men
do, but they incorporated
some of, I would say, the
easier of the hard things. It
was only about 25 minutes
because it was just one
lap, but because it was so
short you had to ride it hard.
I was riding like GNCC- or
sprint-enduro-pace the
whole time, unless I was in
the tough stuff, then I was
picking my way through like
a trials rider."
Third place in the Wom-
en's Pro division was Rode
Free Racing's Annelisa
Davis.
The Sherco AMA East
and West Extreme Series
consist of five rounds each
that will earn riders qualification
spots for the Grand Champion-
ship, which will again be part of
the Kenda Tennessee Knockout,
August 14-16, in Sequatchie,
Tennessee.
The RevLimiter Extreme Enduro
in Bridgeport, Texas, will serve as
an East-West shootout. CN

I reverted to stuff I had been
more accustomed to. Things felt
magical yesterday afternoon. I
had a stellar qualifying time in
the second moto. In the final,
I got a good start. I was riding
with Cody for probably a solid
10, 15 minutes. I think that was a
mistake because I wasn't able to
maintain that. I got pumped up. It
just kind of shocked my system.
I spent more than half the race
trying to recover from doing that,
and then just chugging through
the rocks in the heat.
"The second lap went a lot
better and I started battling with
Max," Fahringer said. "I looped
my bike out and it hit him at one
point. He got up and my body
cramps, so I'm lying there in
the rocks trying to rub on my
Max Gerston finished fourth overall.
