actoryONE Sherco's Cody Webb
won the Tough Like RORR (Read-
ing Off-Road Riders) Extreme race in
Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, topping western
Pennsylvania product Ryder LeBlond (KTM)
by more than eight minutes at the finish
of Sunday's 15-mile, five-hour final. It was
Webb's first time to compete in the race.
This year's event also served as round
one of the Sherco AMA East Extreme Series
and has become one of the most popular
extreme races in the country, just behind the
Trials Training Center's Tennessee Knock-
out, which serves at the finale for both the
east and west series.
Webb pocketed $5000 of the $15,000
purse by beating out LeBlond and etched
his name in the Tough Like RORR history
book; however, on lap one (of two), it ap-
peared the race would be a hard-fought one,
with Webb going head-to-head with Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna's Colton Haaker.
Haaker led most of the first lap, after
passing Webb when the former U.S. Nation-
al Trials champ made a mistake. But the heat
and humidity would take their toll on Haaker
who surrendered the lead to Webb before
the end of the first lap then withdrew during
on the final lap due to heat exhaustion.
Not only is Tough Like RORR known as a
tough and technical race—a big part of that
due to the rocky terrain—but it often plays
out during extremely hot and humid condi-
tions, and this weekend was no excep-
tion. Sunday's race saw thermometers top
out near the 95-degree mark among high
humidity. Despite the challenging weather,
Webb looked fairly fresh after the race, but
he admitted it was not easy out there.
"It was definitely pretty tough," said Webb.
"That first lap I was up there, and I was
thinking, this could definitely be harder than
