Our Unadilla 250cc MX GP preview was featured in issue 27 30 years
ago, which included an interview with the "King of Unadilla" Rick
Johnson... Chris Carr and Scott Parker battled to the bitter end at the
Lima Half Mile. Parker nipped Carr for the victory... Doug Chandler won
the AMA Superbike National at Road America. Chris D'Aluisio won the
250cc Grand Prix race... Kurt Hough
won the two-day Trask Mountain ISDE
Qualifier in Oregon.

Ben Bostrom was pictured on the cover of Cycle News 20 years ago
to accompany our interview with the World Superbike Championship
hopeful. We chatted with him prior to his home race at Laguna Seca...
Honda's Sebastien Tortelli won both 250cc motos at RedBud, as did
Yamaha of Troy's Stephane Roncada in the 125cc class, making it a
French sweep. They also led both championships!... And, Frenchman
David Vuillemin won all three Pro classes at Mammoth... Isle of Man TT
legend Joey Dunlop was killed road racing in Estonia.
