By Nuclear Neukam SACRAMENTO, CA, AUG. 12 They say you can't please everyone. Apparently, though, Sacramento promoter Dave Smith never listens to whomever jj~jj~ 10aJIuI ' "t!ley" may be. In an effort to bolster rider participation at the Friday night Sacramento Raceway stadium motocross races, Smith has constructed two separate tracks, each with its own unique personality. Those riders who crave real bone-crushing, teethjarring, rough and tumble stadium motocross competition, can sign up to- race the Pro track. And for those with a more mild-mannered racing attitude, there's the Fast track, simil~r to the rough scrambles track at Sacramento Raceway a few years back. £In Open Pro competition (on the ~ track, of course) Husky-mounted Jimmy "Kamakazi" Robertson berzerked his way to the overall with a second in the first moto behind Tom Sweeney's Yamaha and the win in moto two. weeney secured second ~erall after a third in the second moto. Honda-mounted Mark Sterling was third overall with a 3-2 score. bThe Power Puffs raced the Fast tTack and Caron Thompson roosted her Honda to the win in both motos while Frankie Hartnett, also on a Honda. combined twO seconds for second overall. Rick Jenkins and Monte Miller went 1-2, respectively, in both Open Novice motos on the Fast track, with Maico-mounted Jenkins holding 0(( a determined Miller in moto two. Miller charged hard on his Suzuki in the final stages of the final moto, but had to settle for second and second overall. • Results ) OPEN PRO: 1. Jimmy R ~ (HuI); 2. Tom SWeeney (Yam); 3.
