Yup, it was Knupp at Trinidad By Ernie Ferguson TRINIDAD, co, AUG. 13-14 The nice folks at Cycle Ridge put on a great race for two days in Trinidad, Colorado. The track was in super shape for a two-day Sports Rider's Association of Colorado Gran Prix with all the Colorado classes in attendance. The Paradisia family, who promoted the event, even provided free waterme1~n for all spectators and riders, and 10 9O-degree temperatures, the melon was a welcome relief from the heat. The Open Expert competition was something to see on Sun~y as the riders tuned up for the Nat~onal meet coming upon August 21. Mike Knupp took the overall, but he was forced to battle all the way. Terry Kyle took t!te. first moto with some of the best nding he has done all year, but unfortu1'1ately Kyle was forced out of the second race after a bad fall. He was alright but a little disappointed. Knupp swept the second moto by riding like the wind after a bad start. Working his way through the pack, he finally passed Bear Hensley to stay out front for the flag. Randy Warren. kept up the .pressure all day with his afways
