Honda's Freddie Spencer won the Swedish
Grand Prix by pulling off a controversial
last-lap pass of his arch rival, Yamaha's
Kenny Roberts. Roberts finished second,
losing the lead which he had
held for 24 of the ~o laps on the
final lap when Spencer ex' .
ecuted a danng pass.
The win gives Spencer a five-point
lead over Roberts going into the final
race of the series at Imola, Italy, on
