Kyle took the second spot with a spectacular effort. jim Mitchell took third overall aboard his new Cagiva. jim's skills are more than apparent at each com peti tion. Mike Knupp took the honors in the Open Expert class with some fancy riding. Mike won the first moto going away but ran into some stiff pressure in the second race. After getting hung up in the gate, he was forced to work his way through traffic until he came up to Warren and Kyle. They were battling for the lead, and their wheel-to-wheel action was non-stop. On a downhill tum, Knupp first passed Kyle and then overtook Warren on the very next turn to get out front fonhe remainder ofthemoto. Randy finished second and Terry took third. In the Mini B class Greg West flew to two first place finishes to sweep the competition. Greg was chased by a brother act, jim and jay Ruterbories. jim finished second with two second place rides, and brother jay settled for third with a 7-3 effort. The 250cc Novices had a full compliment of riders on hand and the action was great. No one dominated any of the races but Wes French came out on top with a 4-3 over both motos. Craig Carroll finished in the second position with the reverse of Wes' effort, he had a 3-4 morning. Danny Weber had a good race day and finished in third with a 2-5 effort. • ,...
