Scoring is one thing, making it look easy is another.
But Team Honda's Mickey Fay has what it takes.
It's his new XL600R-engined single-cylinder machine,
and Mickey used it to score a decisive victory at the Santa
Fe TT National on June 24.
The new machine's light weight
and maneuverability gave Mickey
the moves he needed to overcome
a bad start and win his heat race.
And in the Main he used the
tremendous torque and top-end
power of the Jerry Griffith-tuned
engine to lead from start to finish.
The sophisticated XL600 RHonda RFVC XL600R engine.
engine that powers Mickey's TT bike uses the same
advanced Radial Four-Valve Combustion Chamber
(RFVC) design found in Honda's XR500R, XR350R
and XL600R machines. It combines a true hemispherical combustion chamber, twin carbs and a dualport exhaust that demonstrates why Honda is the leader
in four-stroke technology. And, in winning races.
Of course, Mickey's bike wasn't the only four-stroke
single to score in Chicago that weekend.
But it was the first.
HONDA.
