Scoring is one thing, making it look easy is another. But Team Honda's Mickey Fay has what it takes. It's his new XL600R-engined single-cylinder machine, and Mickey used it to score a decisive victory at the Santa Fe TT National on June 24. The new machine's light weight and maneuverability gave Mickey the moves he needed to overcome a bad start and win his heat race. And in the Main he used the tremendous torque and top-end power of the Jerry Griffith-tuned engine to lead from start to finish. The sophisticated XL600 RHonda RFVC XL600R engine. engine that powers Mickey's TT bike uses the same advanced Radial Four-Valve Combustion Chamber (RFVC) design found in Honda's XR500R, XR350R and XL600R machines. It combines a true hemispherical combustion chamber, twin carbs and a dualport exhaust that demonstrates why Honda is the leader in four-stroke technology. And, in winning races.
