In th e fir st Second Division heat. after two bikes ta ng led going into turn one. the other four riders ended up cro ssin g the infield a n d had co rnermen a nd photographers ru nning in cir cles with no p lace to go. Chrisco and Curoso ended up together aga in - this time Curoso was disqualified. After disagreeing intently with th e referee over th e call . Curoso retired to th e pits and th e race wa s com p le ted. wi th Ermol enko al so being disqu alifi ed ' for lo sing hi s muffler on th e tra ck. Second Divi sion ra cing had it 's share o f cras hes. la ydowns, a nd restarts. Gu y Waterson won th e main event aft er being involved in a crash with Randy Blevins. who took second place.
