Bo th riders clearly domin at ed the ir respective clas ses. Daft won th e 125 a nd 250cc Expert classes. Newman had h is hands fu ll in the Min i Sen io r class, bu t he d id win th e brand new 105cc cla ss wi th ease . T he dual wins d id cos t h im seven spokes in hi s front whee l. Fligh t p lans were the order of th e da y for th e Ex pert classes and the ra cing in all classes was more spectacular because of the redesigned jumps.
